Mid-Weight Designer
This is a full-time, on-site position. The successful candidate will be a part of a dynamic team, contributing to strategy, process, and production work.
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of professional working experience as a graphic designer in an agency or fast-paced in-house environment.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign) and Google Suite.
- Strong communication skills: You can confidently articulate the strategic “why” behind your design choices to both internal teams and clients, and you actively use feedback to elevate the work.
- A strong portfolio showcasing a wide range of live, real-world projects, demonstrating a deep understanding of visual hierarchy, typography, and brand system application.
- Degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related field—OR equivalent practical experience.
Responsibilities
- Project Ownership: Work both independently and with the design team to execute projects effectively.
- Multi-Platform Creative: Develop and execute creative design concepts for a variety of clients in various forms of media, with an emphasis on social and digital platforms.
- Strategic Input: Proactively participate in strategy and brainstorming sessions, bringing fresh, high-level conceptual thinking to the table.
- Develop original design concepts and branding for The Think Shop clients, and assist in production as necessary.
- Social Strategy: Take a proactive role in shaping and executing social media content strategy for the agency and its clients.
- Team Collaboration: Productively participate in weekly creative team meetings, communicating with senior management.
- Effectively present creative ideas and layouts to the creative team, communicating with senior team members for feedback. (combines points)
- Maintain accurate tracking and reporting of hours worked.
- Complete production, workflow, internal marketing, and general office duties as assigned.
Schedule & Observed Holidays
- Work hours are Monday–Friday, 8:30 am–5:00 pm.
- Company Holidays observed:
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day, July 4
- Labor Day, the first Monday in September
- Thanksgiving Day, the fourth Thursday in November
- Christmas Day, Dec. 25 through New Year’s Day, Jan. 1
